In connection with an aggravation of the situation and for prevention of the possible collisions of the contradictory sides, and stabilization of the situation in the area of the south-east outskirts of the town of Tskhinval, of a migratory post of South Ossetia and the northern outskirts of the settlement Ergneti, the command of the Joint Staff of JPKF has made a decision on placement of a temporary post of peace-making forces since 18.00pm of September, 27th, 2007 in the structure of one motor-shooting branch from the Peacemaking Forces of the Russian Federation on a IFV-1 and the observers from the three parties in the specified area.

The artillery shelling of Tskhinval, having begun at approximately 20:30pm from the direction of the georgian settlements, has not stopped yet. Just now it has become known, that the inhabitant of the town Marina Doguzova has received fragmental wounds.

The capital of South Ossetia, Tskhinval, has undergone massed shelling from artillery and small arms. Under the preliminary information from the department on duty of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RSO, the shelling was conducted on the southern quarters of the town; however the explosions are heard practically in all the areas.

The Vice-President of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Co-chairman of the Joint Control Commission on settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict from the south-ossetian side Boris Chochiev has accepted the head of the Mission of UNHCR of the United Nations in Georgia Peter Nikolaus and the adviser on legal questions of the Mission of UNHCR of the United Nations in Georgia Christopher Blevrit.

«In South Ossetia they are not surprised by the events in Georgia and the revelations of Okruashvili have not opened anything new to us», the president of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokojty has declared to the correspondent of the agency «Res», making comments on the political processes, occuring in Georgia and, in particular, the statements of the former Minister of Defence of Georgia Iraklij Okruashvili, directed against the president Saakashvili.

In the Republic of South Ossetia they have negatively regarded the fact of giving an opportunity of performance to the president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili at the 62-d session of the General assembly of the United Nations. In this occasion the correspondent of the agency «Res» has addressed the president of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokojty for comment:
«Saakashvili does not cause any more the former interest outside Georgia.

«The georgian side makes big difficulties to realization of most of the projects that are carried out through OSCE, the Euro commission and UNHCR of the United Nations», the minister on special affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, the co-chairman of the south-ossetian part of the Joint Control Commission Boris Chochiev has informed the correspondent of the agency «Res» about it.

The georgian side proceeds ignoring the arrangements, accepted by it in the zone of the conflict: the items 7 and 18 of the Appendix №1 of the Report of JCC № 7 from December, 6th, 1994, and also the item 42 of the Provision about the Group of military observers and the Joint peacekeeping forces in the Commonwealth of Independent States (the Decision of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly from October, 29th, 1994), and the illegal detention of the two military men of the peace-making forces from the Republic of North Ossetia-Аlania, arrested by it in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict on August, 29th, 2007 by the power structures of Georgia.

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokojty has held a meeting with the heads of the ministries, departments, power structures, the advisers, the heads of regional administrations and of the town of Tskhinval.

In the georgian-populated village of Avnevi, controllable by the power structures of Georgia, at an illegally located post have been detained the citizens of the Russian Federation, the inhabitants of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic - Biosman Gizhgiev and Beslan Khaptsev. The correspondent of the agency «Res» have been informed about it at the press-service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.
