As is well known an ex-minister of Defence of Georgia Irakly Okruashvili recently appointed a minister of economic development has resigned. Evidently the suggested post wasn’t to main “Georgian hawk’s” liking. It’s clear because Georgia doesn’t put up so much money in its economic development as in Army. Now it would be also difficult for Okruashvili to make emotional statements at his new post.
On the 16th of November the Georgian party once more backed out of scheduled monitoring in the area of 15 km to the south of settlement Shavshvebi where recently a radar station of Air Defence of Georgia had been discovered. The object of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia illegally placed in the zone of conflict is guarded by the armed divisions and forces of Military Police of Georgia.

The predecessor of the current RSO President had pro-Georgian orientation and as well as his confederates had nothing against joining Georgia.

Based on the protocols of the territorial electorals the Central Election Committee of the Republic of South Ossetia made a final protocol on the results of the Presidential Elections in the Republic of South Ossetia.
As informed by the RSO Department of Transport press-center today a regular bus that was going from an Ossetian village Kvatetri was stopped in Georgian village Avnevi, temporarily not controlled by the RSO authorities.
At the international press-center for journalists was hold a press-conference of the Central Election Committee Chairwoman Bella Plieva during which were announced preliminary results of the Referendum and Presidential elections.
Yesterday late in the evening a telephone conversation took place between President of Abkhazia and the newly elected President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity. Sergey Bagapsh congratulated his South Ossetian colleague and the Ossetian people with the convincing victory at the elections and the referendum.
Currently at the central square of the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia – Tskhinval is taking place a big concert-meeting. At 22:00 the square was lightened by a colorful firework. In front of the public spoke the current President of the RSO Eduard Kokoity, Chairman of the RSO Government Yuri Morozov, Bishop Alanskiy and others.
The acting President of the RSO Eduard Kokoity, Chairman of the RSO Government Yuri Morozov and oters late in the evening visited the Republican Maternity Hospital and congratulated parents of the kids that were born on the day of the referendum.
