Supply of natural gas to capital city of South Ossetia Tskhinval is practically cut off, said Director General of “Energetica” company Alan Gabaraev. According to him, the amount of gas suuplied from Georgia is enough for 20 % of Tskhinval.
“The pressure in Agara-Tskhinval pipeline is about 0,8 atmospheres, while the Georgian gas company ITERA responsible for gas supplies must ensure 5 atmosphere pressure. The Company’ response to our enquiries says that the technical problems are being tackled, though nothing is mentioned about the timeframes for the problem solution”, reported Gabaraev.
