A joint meeting of the working group of representatives of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of Russia, headed by Deputy Minister Alexey Volin with the South Ossetian counterparts from relevant agencies on improvement of legislation of South Ossetia in the field of media, communications and youth policy has been held in Tskhinval. The meeting was also attended by the newly appointed Chairman of the State Committee for Information and Press Vyacheslav Gobozov.
The meeting participants were greeted by Chairman of the RSO Committee of Communications and Mass Media Inal Tibilov, calling the event as the start of working relationship of the parties.
"There are also scheduled regular workshops on problems and issues facing all our organizations. Such cooperation has begun, and today's event has initiated our working relationship for years ahead, "- said Tibilov.
Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media of Russia Alexei Volin noted the need to move to an entirely new relationship.
"These relations are composed of two parts. First, it is important that the industry of the media, communications and youth policy should be developed at full capacity in South Ossetia. After providing the necessary level of standards, we `ll get to the partnership relations ", - said the deputy minister.
Further South Ossetian participants talked about the working specifics of their branches, as well as the problems of their organizations.
Director of the State Unitary Enterprise "Post-and-telegraph service of the RSO" Anatoly Khugaev told about the work of the branch of the FSUE "Russian Post" in the Republic.
"Posting service has been established throughout Russia. The only problem is with the third countries which have not recognized our Republic. Accordingly, we do not have the relevant treaties with the appropriate agencies of these countries "- said Khugaev.
Further the chief editor of the South Ossetian State News Agency "Res" Maya Kharebova told about the activities of the agency.
"The Agency mainly disseminates the information oriented to an external reader. In particular, we have established cooperation with the Russian federal agency "ITAR-TASS", "RIA Novosti" and "Interfax", "- said Kharebova.

Head of the Department of Information Technology, Broadcasting and Communication Services of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the RSO Robert Beteev pointed to many problems in the field of communications.
"We have a lot of problems in the field of communication; there is neither a mobile network code, nor numbering resource. In addition, the Republic does not have its transport network. We are leasing two communication channels from the South Ossetia mobile operator "Ostelecom" - mobile communications and the Internet, and one channel is not enough to provide the population with the Internet , "- said Beteev.
In conclusion, the participants signed a plan of activities of the working group on improving the legislation of South Ossetia in the media, communications and youth policy.
Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media of Russia and Chairman of the Committee of Communications and Mass Media of the RSO have also signed a protocol of the first meeting of the working group, which, in particular, provides to hold three meetings between the heads of the working groups in the course of year.
