South Ossetia plans to start exporting garlic to Russia - trade representative

South Ossetia plans to export the first batch of 10 tons of garlic to Russia. This was reported to TASS on the sidelines of the international exhibition of food, beverages and raw materials "Prodexpo-2025" by the trade representative of South Ossetia in Russia Taimuraz Goginov.

"Of what is expected to be exported from South Ossetia, we plan to start exporting the first batch of garlic. In South Ossetia, minimal efforts are required, and the climate is favorable for the cultivation and production of garlic. Last year we already made the first sowings, this year we plan to supply garlic paste," he said.

According to Goginov, in 2025, 10 tons of еру South Ossetian garlic are expected to be exported to Russia.

"It will be pickled garlic, ordinary garlic and garlic paste," he said.
