May 21, 2013 in Sochi, was held a working meeting of President of the Republic of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. During the meeting it was noted that the meeting was the third over the past 12 months, which was a testament to the special quality of the Russian-South Ossetian relations.
In the course of the talks was covered a wide range of issues of bilateral relations. Special attention was paid to the cooperation within the framework of the Investment program to promote socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia.
It was stressed that the ongoing process of harmonization of the South Ossetia budget legislation with the Russian one would improve the transparency and efficiency in using of the Russian financial aid and would improve the quality of cooperation. With the new principles of the formation and implementation of the investment program, the system of interaction of Russia and South Ossetia has raised to a new level.
The Russian side expressed firm support and willingness to continue providing assistance in the formation of the South Ossetian statehood, creating a solid base for stable socio-economic development.
