Commenting on the Georgian side's attempts to interfere with the delimitation works, the envoy has stressed that, in the course of these works South Ossetia "does not infringe any meter of the territory of Georgia and is not going to cede any meter of its own territory."
"The delimitation works are carried in accordance with legislation of South Ossetia to prevent border violations by local residents " , - has said the envoy, adding that the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia coincides with the boundaries of the former South Ossetian Autonomous Oblast within the Soviet Union.
"If the border is violated deliberately, these people will be brought to justice, as the violators of the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia," - said Dzhioev.
He has noted that despite the repeated offers of the South Ossetian side, the Georgian authorities have refused to discuss questions relating to the border line.
"I cannot understand the fuss made by the Georgian side over the works at the border, as they are being carried out in the territory of South Ossetia, - said Dzhioev. - What's happening on the other side of the border implies the aspiration of the Georgian authorities to aggravate the situation. "
Representatives of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia, in turn, said, they would attend the works at the state border of South Ossetia until their completion.
