Prime Minister of South Ossetia Rostik Khugaev held a meeting with heads of security, defence and law enforcement agencies, during which was discussed the operational situation in the Republic over the past week.
According to the Minister of Internal Affairs Akhsar Lavoev, for a week 6 crimes were registered in the territory of South Ossetia, 4 of which were detected; the traffic police revealed 115 violations, seven of them - driving drunk.
According to the Prosecutor General Merab Chigoev, by the end of the year 10 criminal cases will be sent to the Russian Federation. He noted that when being considered several million rubles will be returned to the Republic.
" A large part of the criminal cases is under consideration by investigators of the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation. We requested to take maximum measures to repair the damage, "- said Merab Chigoev.
The meeting also discussed the situation in the Penitentiary Department of Justice, where on November 16 had escaped the killer.
As noted by Justice Minister Murat Vaneev, currently there is a service check in the Penitentiary, following the results of which will be drawn up an official statement.
"After the checking the decision will be made on personnel matters. There is also a need to examine the structure of the criminal-executive system", - said Murat Vaneev.
On the working visit to the Republic of Abkhazia reported the Chief Justice Ilona Khugaeva. She has noted that during the visit, meetings were held with the Abkhaz judicial community, and also signed an agreement "On mutual legal assistance and the exchange of information" with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Abkhazia.
