Intensifying efforts to search for the missing persons was discussed at the meeting between the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev and the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic of South Ossetia Said Assadullah, as well as with the ICRC envoy for missing persons in the Caucasus Agnes Kotu.

The issue of searching for missing persons is one of the most important, the OSCE Co-Chair Christoph Späth said during the press conference.

On Tuesday, the Co-Chairs representing three international organizations arrived in the capital of South Ossetia for a regular meeting ahead of the 63rd round, which will be held in Geneva in March.

"I can assure you that this issue will be the focus of our work," Späth has stressed.

The main tasks of the Geneva process, in addition to ensuring security and peace, are to deal with the consequences of the conflict, the EU Co-Chair Magdalena Grono said during the press approach in Tskhinval.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev visited the solemn reception at the Russian Embassy on the occasion of the Day of the Diplomatic Worker of the Russian Federation, the press service of the head of state reports.

The festive event was also attended by Chairman of the Parliament Alan Margiev, the head of the Presidential Executive Office Alan Alborov, Foreign Minister Ahsar Dzhioev, and other officials.

Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the RSO Marat Kulakhemov addressed those present with a congratulatory speech.
