Moscow hosted the meeting of the joint working group of South Ossetia and Russia on the development and monitoring the implementation of the Investment program to support socio-economic development of South Ossetia. As reported in an interview with journalists the First Deputy Prime Minister of South Ossetia Domenty Kulumbegov the meeting had been held in Moscow on December 19-21.
"As part of this trip was held a meeting with representatives of the Russian Presidential Executive Office, dealing with cooperation with South Ossetia, Abkhazia and the CIS countries, during which were mapped out the ways for more effective implementation of the Investment program in 2014 - said Kulumbegov. - A special emphasis was made on 26 objects included in the program to be provided with design and estimate documentation and timely financing."
Kulumbegov has added that the working group determined approaches to the development of the Investment program for 2015-2016.
"The basic outlines of the program will proceed from the tasks that face us in restoring the Republic - said Kulumbegov. – The priority issues will certainly be further improvement of Tskhinval, the problem of housing reconstruction, destroyed during the war in 2008, the development of the social sphere. The emphasis, of course, will be made on health care facilities."
Domenty Kulumbegov has reminded that the Working Group of South Ossetia and Russia on the development and monitoring the implementation of the Investment Program to promote socio- economic development of South Ossetia was established in October 2013, based on the agreement reached during the meeting of the Assistant to the President of Russia on Cooperation with the CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia Vladislav Surkov with the RSO President Leonid Tibilov.
"In the framework of the activities of this group started the work on increasing the efficiency of realization of the Investment program, since the formation of which were held a few meetings - said Kulumbegov. – There is complete interaction and agreement in the joint working group in addressing the issues facing us; we have tangible results in this area of work."
According to Kulumbegov, lately there have been outlined new approaches to the development and implementation of the Investment Program to promote socio-economic development of South Ossetia, which will give positive results.
