It is felt literally in everything - in the heavenly light, covered with some kind of grace, the friendly faces of passers-by, congratulating each other on the great holiday for the whole Orthodox world, a grain of goodness that sneaks into even the heart that has become so stiff from life's difficulties and hardships, this is the time when you want to believe in magic and fairy tale, the triumph of nobility and light in the soul ...
The air is saturated with love and an inexhaustible feeling of gratitude to the Blessed Virgin Mary, who gave the world the Savior - Jesus Christ.
In the capital of South Ossetia, along with other Orthodox Christians in the world, they prepared for the great holiday for all believers, which occurred on the night of January 6-7. Divine services were held in the churches of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Holy Trinity, and the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Kings Constantine and Elena. The territories of the churches are decorated with flowers, needles, Christmas decorations, flags, garlands and, undoubtedly, the main attribute of the festival is a nativity scene that tells about the sacrament of the birth of the baby Jesus.
The evening service in the temples continued at midnight with the procession and Divine Liturgy. On a bright holiday - Christmas of Christ, all Orthodox were congratulated by the head of state Anatoly Bibilov, who wished them peace, harmony and God's grace.
."I think that the fact that Christ dedicated himself to the people obliges people to believe in good and strive for peace and understanding, because it is very important to understand that there is nothing more valuable than mutual assistance and respect for each other," the President said.
Parishioners, in turn, met the celebration with smiles on their faces and warm wishes for each other, relatives and friends.
“No matter how old I am, Christmas for me is always the expectation of a miracle,” said Inna Tedeeva, a resident of Tskhinval. “On this day I want to wish everyone peace in the soul, love, joy and good.”
For Angela Guchmazova, Christmas is primarily a family holiday, an opportunity to once again pay attention to the loved ones.
“This day I usually spend with my family, I make gifts to household members, reminding them of how dear they are to me,” Angela said.
According to Robert Gagloev, the Orthodox holiday is associated with something intangible and incredibly beautiful.
“Today is a hope for me that a miracle will happen to me that I can’t dream about myself and therefore I call on God. It’s like in the prayer of St. Philoret to the Lord, which says -" ... teach me how to pray, pray in me, "said Gagloev.
Indeed, as practice shows, the sacrament of Christmas strengthens people's faith in the brightest, bringing a bit of warmth and a little magic to human everyday life. And, of course, everyone who came to the temple today took with them a grain of a real Christmas fairy tale, which will settle in the heart and make the world around us not much, but a little kinder and more merciful.
