In South Ossetia over the past day there have been no new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus infection, 81 people are quarantined, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, told IA "Res" on Wednesday.
Thus, on the morning of May 27, 8 people remained in the isolation ward of the Republican Medical Center, of all citizens who had previously been infected with coronavirus.
"36 tests carried during the day (1287 in total) showed a negative result," the sanitary doctor said.
According to Gagloeva, 59 people are in medical institutions of the Republic.
The sanitary service calls for compliance with the rules applicable to the coronavirus pandemic. The South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Hotline continues to operate in South Ossetia: +7 (929) 810-60-96; +7 (929) 805-88-96.
The first three cases of coronavirus infection in the Republic were recorded on May 6.
Last week, the government of the Republic made decision to extend the closure of the border between South Ossetia and Russia until June 30. The measures taken do not apply to citizens of South Ossetia returning to the Republic according to a specially developed schedule through the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The checkpoints with Georgia are also completely closed.
