Georgia does not need its own heroes, and even more so Ossetian heroes-participants of the great Patriotic war, buried on its territory, said on Thursday the President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov during the presentation of a special issue of the magazine "Russian word in South Ossetia" at the South Ossetian State University.
"The heroes of the Soviet Union are in a single parade in the center of the special issue of the magazine "Russian word in South Ossetia", as they were many years ago during the great Patriotic war, " the head of state said. "I think that today, based on the current situation in Georgia, we are ready to accept the ashes of our heroes - exhume them and bury them here with all military honors," the President said.
The head of state addressed this statement to official Tbilisi.
“We really need them very much, and we are proud of them. Therefore, my words can be taken as an official appeal to the Georgian leadership so that they give us the dust of our heroes. We will render them the honors and that tribute to the memory that they deserve,” the President said.
The “Russian Word in South Ossetia” has been publishing for 7 years in a row.
