South Ossetian arm wrestlers will perform at the World Championships in Romania. The coach of the athletes Valery Dzhioev informed the IA "Res" about it. The sporting event, will be held in Bucharest from November 24 to December 3.
Arsen Khabalov went to the competition on Monday, he will perform in the + 80 kg weight ckass, Batradz Pliev will perform in the +85 kg weight class and Soslan Gassiev in the +110 kg weight class.
“Arsen and Batradz will try their hand in the world championship, and Soslan at the championship. We are training hard, and then, how will it turn out. At the World Championship, strong participants are represented. Moreover, it did not take place last year because of the pandemic, and this year everyone will try to take part and win,” Dzhioev said.
The coach has emphasized that, as a rule, about 55 countries are participating in these competitions.
Dzhioev has added that the weigh-in will take place on November 24, and then the fights.
In 2019, Arsen Khabalov became the winner of the World Championship in Romania. Then Soslan Gassiev became the silver medalist.
