Specialists of South Ossetia are professionals in their field, there is nothing to teach them, they know everything, said Tatyana Zharnikova, a representative of the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute of Rospotrebnadzor, who was in South Ossetia on a two-week business trip.
According to Tatyana Zharnikova, they have developed friendly relations with their South Ossetian colleagues.
“We do not train them, but simply advise them and talk about new standards in this area, as well as provide all possible assistance in their work. The PCR laboratory of South Ossetia is fully equipped with modern equipment, the premises meet all standards and norms, guidelines and sanitary rules,” she explained.
The Russian specialist has noted that the South Ossetian colleagues have everything for working, but if suddenly there is a need to increase the volume of research, then it will be necessary to purchase additional equipment.
This is not the first visit of Russian representatives of the sanitary department to South Ossetia. South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee has long established friendly relations with colleagues. One of the first to arrive in South Ossetia after the Georgian aggression in August 2008 was a specialized anti-epidemiological brigade of the Stavropol Research Anti-Plague Institute, thanks to which it was possible to prevent the complication of the epidemiological situation after the hostilities.
The attention and constant help of Russian epidemiologists is always noted by the head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee Marina Kochieva. The coronavirus, which has swept the whole world and South Ossetia, has made adjustments to all spheres of the Republic's life. Fighting the invisible enemy COVID-19 required new methods, and again Russian colleagues came to the rescue.
During the peak of the coronavirus disease in the Republic, Rospotrebnadzor periodically provided assistance with test systems with the reagents necessary for research. In addition, they regularly help in matters of material and technical equipment.
"We were provided with logistical and methodological assistance. Employees of the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute of Rospotrebnadzor were sent to the Republic to assist in organizing the work of the laboratory, as a result of which the volume of laboratory research increased two - three times,” she said in an interview with IA “Res”.
Kochieva has noted that for the entire time of the coronavirus pandemic and the introduced quarantine measures, Rospotrebnadzor, headed by the head of the department, Anna Popova, provided great support.
