In South Ossetia was given the last honours to a volunteer Ibrahim Basayev, perished during the special military operation in Ukraine, the press service of the President of South Ossetia reports.
Relatives and friends of the deceased, members of the public, the leadership of the Republic, headed by President Alan Gagloev, came see off the hero on his last journey on his last journey.
The head of state expressed his condolences to the family and relatives of Ibrahim Bagaev.
“Today, as in the years of the Great Patriotic War, the people of Ossetia, showing heroism and courage, are fighting against fascism. We are all tired of losses.. The best representatives of their people are leaving, but our common goal is to protect the Motherland. Ibrahim was a fearless warrior, a true hero. We will always remember him like that,” said Alan Gagloev.
By the decree of the President of the Republic, Ibrahim Bagaev was awarded the medal "Defender of the Fatherland" (posthumously).
