The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delivered a humanitarian cargo consisting of several items of personal protective equipment for medical personnel of healthcare structures to the warehouse of the Republican Medical Center, the ICRC public relations officer Marina Tedety told the “Res ” news agency.
“Humanitarian aid, therefore, includes non-sterile examination gloves (10 thousand pairs), medical caps (3 thousand pieces), disposable medical gowns (1 thousand pieces), and disposable protective medical overalls (800 pieces). According to her, the total amount of assistance provided since 2020 in means of protection and equipment amounted to about 5 million rubles.
“While coordinating its humanitarian activities, the ICRC maintains constant contact with the authorities, including the structures responsible for access to health care and social protection, in order to provide, if possible, assistance to doctors and social workers in providing services to the population,” the agency’s interlocutor has noted. .
