The delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, which is on a working visit to South Ossetia, visited the Joint Information and Coordination Center of the Internal Affairs Bodies of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports,
"The staff of the center acquainted the guests with the complex of buildings and structures, showed them the technical capabilities of the forensic laboratory, told about the stages of the center's formation," the press service said.
They noted that "the center is a permanent interstate body designed to coordinate activities to counter organized crime and other dangerous types of crime, as well as to prevent offenses on the territory of the Republic."
“And as part of the cultural program, guests from Abkhazia visited the National Museum of South Ossetia, where they got acquainted with the exhibits representing the centuries-old history of our people,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized.
The press service added that later the delegation of guests went to the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in South Ossetia, where they were received by Ambassador Alan Elbakiev.
