Thanks to the exchange events, there is the opportunity to present a piece of Abkhaz culture in South Ossetia, - Daur Kove, Minister of Culture of Abkhazia, noted at the briefing in Tskhinval.
According to him, this is not the first time he has come to Tskhinval. “I always feel as at home,” said Kove.
“Holding the Days of Culture of Abkhazia in South Ossetia is a joint idea with the Minister of Culture of the Republic Rada Filippovna. I am happy that today Minister of Culture of South Ossetia is such a person who has been doing everything to promote culture to a new and qualitative level,” he said.
The head of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Abkhazia has noted that the Days of Culture of Abkhazia in South Ossetia opened with a performance of the play "Third Day of the War".
“The performance is quite heavy, emotional. Today, our peoples are moving forward, development is underway, but we have no right to forget the history that we had. We must make sure that history does not repeat itself. The younger generation should know and remember this. If we translate this performance into the Ossetian language, it will be the same story that we, unfortunately, have all encountered,” the Minister said.
As noted by the head of the Ministry, on the Closing Day of the Days of Culture of Abkhazia - on Thursday, the unforgettable concert was held with the participation of the Abkhaz pop singers and the State Song and Dance Group.
“There are very few days, and we are thinking of organizing the arrival of our teams to hold events in the districts of the Republic. We have many plans that we are discussing with the Ministry of Culture of South Ossetia,” said Daur Kove.
According to the Minister, culture is where the genetic code of each nation is laid down.
“We will be developing the areas related to vocals and choreography. There are wonderful teams in South Ossetia. And one of the interesting directions is the sphere of cinematography. We will think about the possibility of creating a joint film,” he said.
The Minister of Culture told journalists about his favorite drink from the national cuisine of Ossetia.
“I don’t think anyone has such a divine drink. I have been to many countries, tasted different national dishes and drinks, but I don’t know what to compare the Ossetia beer with,” Kove said.
