The delegation of South Ossetia set the task at the first Caucasian investment exhibition in Mineralnye Vody - to reveal the investment and tourism potential of the Republic as fully as possible, to find new ways of cooperation, said Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia - Minister of Economic Development Dzambolat Tadtaev.
As stated in the press service of the government, published on the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers, the stand of South Ossetia attracted the attention of the exhibitors.
“As part of the national exposition, Ministry of Economic Development of our Republic presented a number of projects that are being implemented on the territory of the Republic, namely: the products of the State Unitary Enterprise Bagiata Liqueur Plant, LLC High Mountain Kel Brewery, LLC Ironsan Winery, products of the private distillery Lokhova D D., ASSA TUAG sauces by PE Dzigoity M.P., natural honey by PE Akopova N.G., tea products by PE Abaeva A.S., Ir Basalt LLC, the launch of which will be announced in the near future, - Tadtaev is quoted by the press service.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, samples of rocks such as diabase, andesite, siltstone, chalcopyrite (copper pyrites), serpentinite, various types of tuffs, etc., which are in high demand in the construction industry, were also presented. The exposition also reflects the tourism potential of the Republic.
Tadtaev has noted that business meetings of the South Ossetian delegation with the leadership of the regions, experts, representatives of the business community were also held at the grounds of the Caucasian Investment Exhibition, where, among other things, the issues of attracting investments in the development of business, the tourism industry and the agricultural industry of South Ossetia were discussed.
"The event attracted about three thousand participants and was held at a very good level. We have set a task – to reveal the investment and tourism potential of South Ossetia as fully as possible, to find the starting points of cooperation with Abkhazia, the regions of the North Caucasus and Russia as a whole. The Republic of South Ossetia is part of a large "Caucasian family", and it should be integrated into all development processes," Tadtaev said.
He has noted that today the regions are becoming drivers of sustainable growth and import substitution in Russia, and the colossal experience gained in various sectors of the economy can be a good help in the economic growth of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Republic, represented by President Alan Gagloev, for their all-round support in organizing the exposition of South Ossetia, as well as to the heads of companies who took an active part in preparing the exhibition ground of the Republic, and to the National Museum, which provided samples of rocks.
The Caucasus Investment Exhibition was being held from May 2 to May 4, 2023 at the IEC MinvodyEXPO. The delegation of South Ossetia was headed by President Alan Gagloev.
The exhibition was organized by the Rosscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the government of the Stavropol Territory.
