“The memory of the victorious warriors is sacred”: Alan Gagloev congratulated Vladimir Putin on Victory Day

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev congratulated Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

Alan Gagloev has stressed that the memory of the victorious warriors is sacred and the current generation will always keep a grateful memory of those who did not spare their lives in the battles for the Motherland and was forging the weapons of Victory.

“Thanks to unparalleled courage and heroism, our fathers and grandfathers survived and won the fight against fascism, gave their descendants the opportunity to live freely and raise children,” the text of the congratulations published on the President’s official website reads.

The President has noted that even today the heroes of the Great Patriotic War are an example for the soldiers of Russia and South Ossetia fighting against neo-fascism in Ukraine.

“I am sure that the memory of the heroism and steadfastness of the heroes of the war will unite our peoples, nourishing their moral and spiritual strength,” he said.

On the Great Victory Day, the head of the South Ossetian state also congratulated Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, Head of North Ossetia-Alania Sergey Menyailo, President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya, President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky, President of the Republic of Artsakh Araik Harutyunyan, Acting Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, Acting Head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik and other heads of ministries, departments and regions of the Russian Federation.
