For the first time, the South Ossetian national team will perform under its own flag at the IPL/SPR/WRP/WRPF/WAF/CAR/WSE Open European Power lifting Championship. This was reported to “Res” by president of the Power lifting and Power Extreme Federation of the Republic, Levan Alborov.
Competitions will be held in Dolgoprudny from 12 to 14 May. The South Ossetian team includes Oleg Tadtaev, Levan Gagloev, Marat Karsanov, Soslan Kudukhov, Alan Sanakoev, Azamat Kochiev, Levan Alborov, Atsamaz Siukaev and Marat Gabaraev.
The President of the Federation noted that the fight is going to be serious, as many European and the world record holders have been announced at the competitions.
"But our guys are well prepared and highly motivated. We are going to win," Alborov said.
He has emphasized that this tournament is one of two qualifying tournaments in Russia for the Olympia Pro Power lifting Invitational 2023, which is organized by the USPA (United States Power lifting Association) and is traditionally held in Las Vegas, USA.
