Interstate cooperation between South Ossetia and the Syrian Arab Republic was discussed in Moscow by ambassadors of the two countries to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and Bashar Jaafari, the press service of the Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation reports.
The department has noted that the meeting of the heads of the two diplomatic missions took place at the Syrian Embassy on Tuesday on behalf of the leadership of South Ossetia.
“Bashar Jaafari thanked Znaur Gassiev for the visit and expressed confidence that a productive meeting will give a new impetus to relations between the two countries and will contribute to further development of cooperation and dialogue based on mutual respect,” the Embassy said.
Znaur Gassiev has noted that South Ossetia is aimed at maintaining a dialogue with a friendly state in every possible way, which will undoubtedly lead to mutually beneficial results.
At the end of the warm conversation, the South Ossetian Ambassador invited Bashar Jaafari to South Ossetia on a friendly visit. The invitation was gratefully accepted.
