After the victory of Vladimir Putin, South Ossetia will continue to interact in very close contact with Russian colleagues and progressively develop, Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev said at the briefing in Tskhinval.
“Russia is the main strategic partner of South Ossetia. Personally, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin is a great friend of the Republic. He always has great sympathy for our people and state. And he proved this many times. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank him for his support and help, and congratulate him on his confident victory in the last presidential elections in Russia,” Dzhioev said.
He has added that the Republic is traditionally among the first countries in which voters are very active.
“The percentage of the voted Russian citizens - residents of South Ossetia, which reached 97% - testifies to this,” he has noted.
