The next meeting of the Commission on Cooperation between the Parliament of South Ossetia and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation will be held on April 18 in Moscow. Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-parliamentary Relations, Zaza Driaev, informed IA“Res”.
As noted by Driaev, the parties will discuss a number of important issues relating to dual citizenship, healthcare, etc.
“During the meeting, we will discuss the settlement of issues of dual citizenship, measures of social support for participants in the special military operation from the Republic and members of their families. We will also talk about cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia in the field of healthcare,” Driaev said.
He has added, that the parties will discuss the implementation of the state program fo socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia for 2022 - 2025 and the development of the tourism industry in South Ossetia.
“We will also consider the issue of participation of schoolchildren from South Ossetia in the Crimean Bridge educational program and issues within the framework of the process of legislative support for the implementation of the Treaty of Alliance and Integration signed between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia,” the parliamentarian added.
For the South Ossetia part, the delegation has also included the Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Taxes, Elena Dzhioeva, and the Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Health, Alexander Pliev.
The delegation of the Federation Council has included a member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, co-chairman of the Russian part of the Commission Sergei Tsekov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy Konstantin Dolgov, member of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Olga Kovitidi, member of the Federation Council Committee on federal structure, regional policy, local self-government and Northern Affairs Vitaly Nazarenko and others.
