Participation of South Ossetia in the Days of the Ossetian Culture in Moscow was discussed at the meeting between President of the Republic Alan Gagloev and Minister of Culture Radmila Dzagoeva, the press service of the head of state reports.
According to Dzagoeva, the Days of the Ossetian Culture in Moscow will be held from October 8 to 15, they are timed to coincide with three important anniversaries: the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the 250th anniversary of Ossetia's accession to Russia and the 165th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the Ossetian literary language Kosta Khetagurov.
"As part of the Days of theOssetian Culture in Moscow, a number of events will be held at various venues. Among them is the performance of the North Ossetian State Academic Theater named after V. Tkhapsaev "Gazdanovs", the ballet "Fatima", etc. The main and final event will be a concert of the Ossetian art masters, which will take place on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. Together with the North Ossetian creative groups, the artists of the B. Galaev South Ossetian State Song and Dance Group "Simd" will take part in the concert, - Rada Dzagoeva said.
The Minister has noted that the group is currently preparing for the trip, and joint rehearsals of the concert participants, including artists of the "Simd", will be held in North Ossetia over the course of three days - October 7, 8 and 9.
She has added that the "Simd" will present "Alan Dance" and "Ossetian Dance" ("Iron Kaft") on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater.
In addition, for the first time on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater, two pairs of soloists from the North Ossetian State Academic Song Group "Alan" and the South Ossetian State Song and Dance Group "Simd" will perform together.
The President emphasized that he would provide comprehensive support to the Ministry of Culture.
"This is a significant and very important event. It once again demonstrates to the whole world that the Ossetian people are united; we are not divided into north and south. The anniversary dates to which the Days of Ossetian Culture are dedicated are significant for the entire Ossetian people. For my part, I am ready to provide all possible support so that the project is implemented," the head of state said.
