Historical document: 11 years since the signing of the Treaty between South Ossetia and Russia
September 17, 2008, after the five-day August war and the recognition of South Ossetia by Russia, was signed the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between South Ossetia and Russia.
The Agreement entered into force on January 20, 2009, and the time period since then has shown the historical significance of the document that laid the foundation for the formation of the legal framework of bilateral relations.
