Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev met with the representative of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of South Ossetia Vyacheslav Dzhabiev.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dzhabiev spoke about his participation in the first meeting of the Coordinating Committee of the Representative Offices of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the main topic of which was the discussion of the tasks and prospects for the development of representative offices for 2022, and also shared his vision of further joint activities.

Impunity breeds new tragedies: South Ossetia again calls for consolidation in the fight against fascism

On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Ered tragedy, the Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation sent a press release to all diplomatic missions accredited in the Russian Federation, as well as to the Georgian Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland, dedicated to the criminal act of genocide against the peaceful Ossetian population on 18 March 1991.

"Every year on March 18, a mournful date is commemorated in South Ossetia, reminding us of the monstrous tragedy in the recent history of our people that occurred in March 1991.

We will break through and be stronger: Anatoly Bibilov on sanctions against Russia

“All products that we do not produce here in the Republic come to us only through the Russian Federation, and, without a doubt, sanctions against Russia will affect us. Students from South Ossetia, Russia, Abkhazia, DPR and LPR will send a letter to the UN and the OSCE calling for an end to the genocide in Donbas

The Round table #DonbassbeZgenocide” with the participation of students from South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Russia, Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics was held online on Thursday.

The event was organized by the center of youth diplomacy "Legatus" in Donetsk.

Its participants unanimously decided to send an open letter to the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the world's leading media and the entire world community calling for an end to the genocide in Donbas.

A mourning rally in memory of the victims of the Ered tragedy will be held in South Ossetia

A mourning rally dedicated to the victims of the Eered tragedy will be held in South Ossetia. As Res was informed in the Ministry of Culture, the event will be held on March 18 at 12.00 at the city cemetery.

“The mourning event will be attended by the leadership of South Ossetia, relatives of the victims of the tragedy, and members of the public. Buses will be organized from the Theater Square of Tskhinval for those wishing to take part in the mourning meeting,” the ministry said.

President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov commented on the situation on the border of the Republic with neighboring Georgia against the backdrop of the events in Ukraine and the upcoming NATO exercises.

In South Ossetia, they said goodbye to Andrei Bakaev, perished during a special operation in Ukraine

In Tskhinval on Thursday, Andrei Bakaev, a native of South Ossetia, perished heroically during a special operation in Ukraine to protect the inhabitants of Donbass, was carried off with military honors.

Sergeant Andrei Bakaev served in one of the units of the 58th Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Andrei was 35 years old, he had two children. Awarded the Order of Courage of Russia (posthumously).
