South Ossetia has celebrated the Russian National Flag Day

A festive concert dedicated to Russian Flag Day took place at the Palace of Children's Creativity in Tskhinval.

The participants of the event were the South Ossetian performer Marta Kharebova, pupils of the Albion gymnasium, the Lyceum of Arts and the Tedeev Children's Music School.

The guys recited poems and sang patriotic songs. As part of the event, flash mobs were organized, after which children were treated to free ice cream.

In the capital of South Ossetia, a festive event will be held in honor of Russian Flag Day, which is celebrated on August 22. Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Organization of Russian Compatriots in South Ossetia, Natalya Zhuikova, told IA “Res”.

In Vladivostok, at the Artetage Center for Contemporary Art, will be opened the exhibition “Beslan. A minute of silence”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Beslan tragedy.

The methods of the Georgian side frankly do not contribute to the creation of a more positive atmosphere in relations with South Ossetia, President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev said in the interview with Izvestia.

The President has noted that instead of constructive dialogue, the Republic is being addressed with speculative calls to join the European Union with Georgia by 2030.

"South Ossetia has long ago and irrevocably decided on its choice of friends and allies. Our path is the integration with Russia," Gagloev snapped.

The issue of South Ossetia's accession to Russia is currently not on the agenda, the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev said in the interview with Izvestia.

The head of the Republic has emphasized that the level of integration between Russia and South Ossetia implies a coordinated foreign policy and joint discussion of issues of interest to both parties.

The achieved level of interaction between South Ossetia and Russia in the defense sphere, including the presence of the Russian 4th Guards Military Base on the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia, gives the Republic the opportunity to feel safe.
