On Monday, First Deputy Prime Minister Alan Dzhioev met with the specialists from the A. N. Bakulev National Medical Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery of the Russian Health Ministry.

According to the government press service, the specialists arrived in the Republic on a working visit in order to provide advisory assistance to citizens of the Republic within the framework of the previously reached agreements.

Alan Dzhioev expressed gratitude to the guests, having noted that the South Ossetian side is counting on effective interaction.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev, sent congratulatory messages to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrant Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, and to Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Russia, Mr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

At the invitation of the House of Latin America The Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia took part in a large-scale festival dedicated to the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The South Ossetian designer, Honored Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia Khokh Bekoev took the 2nd place in a unique fashion show within the framework of the project “Russia - Latin America: design across continents.”

For the costume contest, the designer has prepared a collection, the source of inspiration for which was the place in Peru where the Inca gold is hidden.

On July 20, 2010, important agreements were signed in the city of Managua, marking the beginning of cooperation between South Ossetia and Nicaragua.

The signing of a number of documents became the basis for further strengthening of political, economic and cultural ties between the two states.

Thanks to the agreements, citizens of both countries were able to travel freely without the need for visas, as well as develop trade and economic relations.

South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev met with the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Denis Moncada Colindres. The meeting took place on July 20 as part of the Minister’s working visit to Nicaragua.

A capsule laying ceremony for the construction of the School of Arts building took place in Tskhinval.

The capsule was laid by President Alan Gagloev and Minister of the Chechen Republic for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudaev.

The head of state greeted those present, having reminded that quite recently the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov provided enormous assistance to the security forces of South Ossetia.

Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia, Znaur Gassiev, took part in the reception to mark the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista People's Revolution at the invitation of Ambassador of Nicaragua to the Russian Federation, Alba Torres.

In his welcoming address, Gassiev congratulated the staff of the Diplomatic Mission and the friendly people of Nicaragua on this significant event.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev and Ambassador of South Ossetia to Nicaragua Narim Kozaev took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista revolution. The main event took place at the Parque de la Dignidad Nacional in the center of Managua on July 19.

The guests were greeted by Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo.

Members of the South Ossetian Parliament Arsen Kvezerov, Zaza Driaev, Ivan Slanov, Alexander Gassiev and ex-speaker of Parliament Alan Alborov delivered humanitarian aid to the Ossetian fighters participating in the special military operation in Ukraine, the press service of the legislative body reports.

As noted by Arsen Kvezerov, head of state Alan Gagloev, deputies of the Parliament of the seventh convocation and Chairman of the National Bank Zhanna Dzhioeva helped in collecting the next batch of aid.

South Ossetia was able to convey the spirit of hospitality of the Republic at the Caucasus Investment Forum in Grozny and attracted the interest of many tour operators. This opinion was voiced during the press conference on Friday by the trade representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation, Taimuraz Goginov.
