A fighter from South Ossetia, Atsamaz Slanov, perished in the special military operation, according to representatives of the Slanov family.

Slanov was a native of Dzau district of the Republic. He was taking part in the special military operation since its beginning.

In fierce battles in the Volnovakha region on June 8, he died a heroic death.

Atsamaz is survived by his wife and two daughters. He was 32 years old.

Slanov's relatives went to the place of his death.
