In honour of the Day of Russia a gala concert with participation of the Russian folk group «The Red May rose» from St.-Petersburg, a performer from North Ossetia Valery Bugulov and the South-Ossetian dancing choreographic groups has taken place in Tskhinval. The concert has passed in the evening of June, 12. During the whole evening the Russian group «The Red May rose» which has visited South Ossetia for the first time was charging the people which have gathered on a central square of Tskhinval with the positive energy. Having started the performance with the hymn of Russia, the soloists of the group have sung a number of national-variety songs.
The spectators applauded, singing the favourite songs with the soloists. The representative of the Frontier management of the FSS of Russia in the RSO Oleg Bitkin and the first secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of South Ossetia Oleg Loginov has congratulated the Russian and the South-Ossetian citizens with the Day of Russia. Loginov has noticed that he is among the citizens of Russia whom he should not explain a meaning of the word "Russia". «After the collapse of the Soviet Union, some countries left it with pleasure, the others with pain, and the third ones did not want to leave it at all. I`d like to bow low to them because South Ossetia was among them, too », - Loginov has underlined. He has also specified that the gala concert on the Day of Russia is the first action which was planned by South Ossetia and Russia in respect of cultural exchanges. According to the people who have gathered on the theatre square, this day has not left anybody indifferent. «We are both the citizens of South Ossetia, and Russia, therefore it is our common holiday. This day we feel our belonging to this great country which has literally rescued us from destruction in August, 2008. The Russian military men who have stood next to our children in the rough times, have shown the whole world an example of unity of our nations», - Alesya Margieva has said. A teacher with the long-term experience of work Zoya Tibilova has emphasized, that Russia renders the invaluable aid in the development of various spheres in the Republic, promotes increase of its status in the world. «Our children have a possibility to get education in the prestigious high schools of Russia. Our citizens have a possibility to raise their qualification on the territory of Russia, as well as the material, humanitarian aid which has been rendering our citizens by this country» , - Tibilova has told. Really, the role of Russia in the life of South Ossetia is immense. Not casually these countries are connected by century history in the course of which they have always friendly relationship. And the fact that in Ossetia the main state holiday – the Day of Russia is celebrated on June, 12,- is only historical regularity. However, it is necessary to notice that along with the passport of the citizen of South Ossetia almost each person in the Republic has also the Russian passport which, in turn, is not the simple formality, but one more symbol of unification with the fraternal Russian people.
