The Ossetian mixed martial arts fighter Alan Gigolaev has successfully defended his title of the state of Georgia (USA) in the weight class up to 70 kilograms in the battle against the American fighter Marcus Jackson.

As the news agency "Res" has been reported by the athlete himself, the fight lasted all the three rounds.
"I tried to knock out my opponent and win a TKO, but Marcus is an experienced fihter and I could not implement my plan. Then I decided to put my opponent to the ground and I was able to win on points, "- said Gigolaev.
The battle took place in the U.S. city of Atlanta (Georgia), September 15, 2012. To date Gigolaev held in the US six MMA fights. Four of them he defeated by choking holds and two - by the decision of the referees. Gigolaev – is a holder of the blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In 2008 and 2009 he became a champion of the state of Georgia in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. The athlete is 22 years old. Since 2007 he has been living and training in Atlanta (Georgia.
