Minister of Regional Development of Russia Igor Slyunyaev has arrived in South Ossetia on a working visit. The Russian official was received by President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov at his residence in Dzau district.
During the meeting it was noted that the visit of the Russian delegation was held within the framework of the agreements reached at the meeting of the presidents of South Ossetia and Russia in Sochi May 21, 2013.
"We came here to see the facilities, what is going on in the country. Our task is to render maximum assistance in the preparation of the investment program for the current year, see all the facilities , roads, social infrastructure, utilities, and do everything to bring the facilities into operation as soon as possible ", - said the Ministry of Regional Development.
According to him, Russia is accepting a three-year financial plan, it has already begun budgetary procedures and for Moscow it is essential to use effectively every ruble, aiming at the construction of public facilities in South Ossetia.
"I would also like to discuss the creation of new jobs, because little attention is paid to the real sector of the economy. We have set the task for the next five years to increase the number of jobs from 11 to 17 thousand, "- said Slyunyaev.
He pointed to a slight increase in the growth of employment by opening new enterprises in the Republic with the assistance of the Russian Federation.
"According to the Ministry of Regional Development, 10,000 jobs out of the 11,000 ones are employed in social sphere, so the real sector of the economy should get its second wind," - said the Minister.
He has noted that each facility included in the investment program has a passport, as it is important to understand the history of the objects, data research, the availability of design estimates, the volume of financing, residual value and prospects of bringing into service each facility.
"It is also very important to understand how we will arrange the property and land rights in the Republic on these facilities. Because this is the future collateral base, the future prospects of the Republic. I also propose to discuss mechanisms for pricing "- said Slyunyaev.
The President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov has also stressed that today's visit is the continuation of the work done during the Sochi meeting of presidents of Russia and South Ossetia.
"Then it was agreed to complete the construction of the facilities in South Ossetia and to start the new reconstruction works," - said the head of state.
It should be reminded that today a working group of representatives of the federal authorities of executive power of Russia will arrive in South Ossetia. The purpose of the visit is the preparation of proposals to address the priorities of socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The Russian delegation has included representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development, the Ministry of Health and Social Development, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Communications and a number of other ministries and agencies of the Russian Federation
