Representatives of the Ossetian diaspora in Turkey visited the South Ossetian State University

Representatives of the Ossetian diaspora in Turkey, arrived in Tskhinval on a working visit, met with the rector of South-Ossetian State University. The delegation has included the Deputy Chairman of the Ossetian community in Turkey Jale Pukhaty and the owner of one of the central clinics in Istanbul Muzaffer Khuysaty with his wife. The guests were accompanied by Advisor to the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of North Ossetia- Alania Nelly Pukhaeva. Representatives of the Ossetian diaspora met with the rector of the university Vadim Tedeev. He thanked the guests for their attention to the problems of South Ossetian State University, as well as for the ongoing work on preservation and development of the Ossetian language among the Turkish ethnic Ossetians.
Tedeev has expressed confidence that the cooperation with the Turkish Ossetians, students will yield positive results in the development of friendly relations between the two countries.
"We will be glad to host students from Turkey, so that they could learn better the history of their ancestors, their culture and traditions, language. We can also conduct online conferences with members of the Ossetian diaspora, "- said the rector of the South Ossetian State University.
In turn, Jale Pukhaty reported on the activities of the Ossetian diaspora in Turkey. She has stressed that lately the ethnic Ossetians in Turkey have the opportunity to promote their language and culture of their ancestors.
" So it would be great if the young people, the students were able to communicate, to exchange experience. A lot of young people in Turkey are interested in Ossetian national dances, songs, and the Ossetian language, but we do not have specialists who could teach the young people ", - she said.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of holding a variety of joint activities.
