Parliament of South Ossetia during today's meeting adopted the Law on the State Budget for 2014. The bill, tabled by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Taxes Vadim Tskhovrebov caused a number of observations of deputies. In particular, MPs expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the document did not include funds for the treatment of the citizens of South Ossetia in medical institutions outside the Republic.
In addition, next year's budget does not include funds to support small and medium-sized business.
In general, the total amount of funds in the budget in 2014 is 6 billion 171 million rubles. Russian financial aid will amount to 5 billion 664 million rubles. 2,807 million rubles will be allocated for implementation of the Investment program to promote socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2014. Own revenues amount to 507 million rubles, the expenditure - 6 billion 932 million rubles. As explained Finance Minister Aza Khabalova, the resulting deficit in the amount of $ 760 million would be covered by the balance of the current year budget.
During today's session the deputies approved the Investment program to promote socio- economic development of South Ossetia in 2014, as well as the amendments to the Investment program for 2012-2013 and the budget for 2013.
In addition, were also adopted the laws "On Fauna", "On state registration of rights to immovable property, transactions and cadastral registrationб" "On state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs."
MPs also approved the budget of the Pension Fund of the Republic for the next year.
Today MPs were also briefed on the working trips of South Ossetian delegation to the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia and to Moscow.
