The co-chairs of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia, arrived today in Tskhinval, have met with the families of the citizens of South Ossetia who are serving sentences on trumped-up charges in Georgia.
"We have met with the relatives of the detainees kept in Georgian prisons. Of course, they are concerned about the fate of their relatives and hope that people dealing with these issues will help them. We are in contact with the Georgian authorities, the physical condition of the people on hunger strike is under observation", - told reporters the OSCE Co-Chair Angelo Gnedinger.
It should be noted that in 2005 the power structures of Georgia, invading the territory of South Ossetia, in the village of Avnevi detained citizens of South Ossetia - George Valiev, George Zaseev and Joseph Kochiev. Georgian court accused them of committing a terrorist act at the police building in Gori and sentenced them to life imprisonment. The South Ossetian side has repeatedly raised the issue of releasing Kochiev, Valiev and Zasseev, but the Georgian "justice" refused to release the citizens of South Ossetia.
