Delegates of the World Congress of Ossetians will demand from the UN to recognize the 1920 genocide

The all-Ossetian non-governmental organization "Styr Nykhas" will prepare an appeal to the United Nations to recognize the genocide of the Ossetian people in the 1920s, told the news Agency "RES" the First Deputy Chairman of the public organization "Styr Nykhas" of the Republic of South Ossetia of the international movement "Iry Styr Nykhas " Alvery (Sergey) Kochiev.
According to him, the appeal will be prepared by the participants of the 10th jubilee congress of the All-Ossetian organization, which will be held in Tskhinval on August 25.
"The main theme of the upcoming large-scale event will be the unification of the Ossetian people," he said. – It will be discussed the issues of preparing a single register of all the sanctuaries of Ossetia, the need for their repair and restoration. It is also planned to adopt an appeal to the peoples of the Caucasus on holding a unified Caucasian forum under the motto "The Caucasus is our common home".

Kochiev has added that among the issues planned for discussion at the congress, there are also problems of youth policy.
"The resolution will outline the need to create a unified youth organization in the north and south of Ossetia with a single charter and a single program," he said.
Alvery Kochiev has noted that 60 people representing 27 Ossetian diasporas are expected to participate in the congress.

From the south and north of Ossetia, 120 delegates will take part in the forum, as well as the invited persons - 70 from South Ossetia and 80 from North Ossetia.
Each participant of the congress will receive a gift set, which will include CDs with national songs and dances, Zinaida Gagloyeva's books "Ossetian Surnames" and Boris Bagaev's "Ossetian ornament", badges with the Congress logo and other accessories.
According to the All-Ossetian Movement "Styr Nykhas", to date, there are 97 Ossetian diasporas in the world, 10 of them are in the near abroad, 23 - in the far abroad, 64 - in the Russian Federation.
