President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, took part in the events dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the proclamation of the Donetsk People's Republic, press secretary of the head of state Dina Gassieva told the IA "Res".
Speaking at the ceremonial meeting, President of South Ossetia noted the common interests of the "Russian world", which, together with the Russian Federation, includes the DPR, the LPR, South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
“There is such a project, such a thing as a “Russian reactor.” So, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, after a thorough overhaul of the Russian reactor, after its chief engineer, President of the Russian Federation gave the command to start working this “Russian reactor”, it start working in 2008 in South Ossetia. South Ossetia and Abkhazia defended the southern front of the Russian world. Now this front has moved to the east, and we all together both Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and of course, Russia and the DPR and LPR will definitely defend this front, as had done our great ancestors -Soviet warriors ", - said Anatoly Bibilov.
He expressed confidence that "the spirit of freedom, justice, the struggle for independence, which was laid by the first head of the DPR and which today supports Denis Pushilin, will lead to a result that will be recognized by the Donetsk People's Republic within the Russian Federation."
The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin awarded Anatoly Bibilov with the Order of the Republic.
A protocol meeting of the heads of foreign delegations with the head of the DPR was also held today. The delegation of South Ossetia visited the exhibition of achievements of the national economy.
The South Ossetian delegation includes Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev, Defense Minister Ibrahim Gasseyev, Interior Minister Igor Naniev, Chairman of the Supreme Court Olesya Kochieva, Member of the Republic’s Parliament, People’s Party Leader Alexander Pliev and others.
