People of South Ossetia can rely not only on the Don Cossacks, but also on the Astrakhan, Trans-Baikal and Ussuri ones
President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, has received a delegation of the All-Russian public organization for the development of Cossacks "Union of Cossacks-Warriors of Russia and Abroad", headed by Supreme Ataman Nikolai Dyakonov, the press service of the head of state reports.
Greeting the guests, Anatoly Bibilov has noted that the Cossacks have always occupied a worthy place in life and in the history of the Russian state.
“The Cossacks were a reliable foundation of the state, true patriots. It is very pleasant that we have established contacts with representatives of the Cossacks.
I think that bilateral cooperation will be increased, and we will solve common tasks in close cooperation. I am sure that you will be able to rally the Cossacks not only in Russia, but also in South Ossetia, around one goal, one faith, some traditions,” the President noted.
He has stressed that Russia is a strategic partner and security guarantor for South Ossetia and that the development vector of the Republic is directed towards the Russian Federation.
Nikolay Dyakonov has assured the President that people of South Ossetia can rely not only on the Don Cossacks, but also on the Astrakhan, Trans-Baikal and Ussuri ones.
According to him, the public organization "Union of Cossacks-Warriors of Russia and Abroad" includes 70 regions in which branches of the organization are registered, and 40 communities located abroad.
“Our organization is among the ten largest organizations in Russia. We have established close ties with you, we are always ready to lend a helping hand. We hope that a powerful Cossack organization will be created in the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia,” he noted.
Assistant High Ataman Pavel Pustynnikov, Head of the North Ossetian RO “Double-headed Eagle” Georgy Zozrov, Assistant Head of the North Ossetian RO SKVRiZ Dzambolat Amilkhanov and representative of the Main Directorate of FGC in the RSO Inal Beppiyev also participated in the meeting for the Russian party.
From South Ossetia - Defense Minister Ibrahim Gasseyev and extraordinary and plenipotentiary representative of the Union of Cossack troops in Russia and abroad in South Ossetia Zurab Kokoev, the press service said.
