Iranian business can enter South Ossetia
The results of the working visit of the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Islamic Republic of Iran were discussed today at a meeting of President Anatoly Bibilov and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alan Alborty, the presidential press service reports.
Alan Alborty told the head of state that a business forum was held in Tehran, to which South Ossetia had previously received an invitation.
He called the trip successful, explaining that more than 100 major Iranian companies from all the provinces participated in the forum. Alan Alborty expressed confidence that the day is not far off when the Iranian business enters South Ossetia to “grope” its interests and the parties will move on to closer cooperation.
“The purpose of our visit was closer acquaintance with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iran. However, we went a little further than had been planned. We went to the Chamber of External Cooperation, in which about 13 million people participate. They were very interested to hear about South Ossetia. And they expressed a desire to visit South Ossetia soon by a representative delegation” he said.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also noted that in the framework of the forum the South Ossetian delegation presented modular technologies.
“There were very surprised that South Ossetia has such opportunities. In 40 days, a construction exhibition will be held in Tehran, where our modular technologies will be presented in full,” he said.
Anatoly Bibilov has stressed that it is very important to develop relations between South Ossetia and Iran precisely in economic terms.
“We are well aware that Iran occupies a serious place in the Middle East, cooperates very actively with neighboring countries, with the Russian Federation, which gives us the opportunity to develop trade and economic relations, develop banking and cultural ties. This is a very promising direction.
It is gratifying that our Chamber of Commerce went there, looking for opportunities for economic cooperation. And it is not necessary that only between South Ossetia and Iran, there are third countries to which we can find a way through Iran. In this regard, we need to work more seriously,” said the head of state.
