The State Security Committee of South Ossetia issued a statement on Tuesday according to which restrictions on crossing the South Ossetian-Russian state border are still in force for citizens of the third countries. The restrictions are in effect until the relevant decisions are made by the authorized bodies of South Ossetia and Russia.
"In this regard, in order to comply with the rules for staying on the territory of the Republic, the Border Guard Service of the KGB of the RSO reminds foreigners of the need to timely renew the relevant permits for the right to stay in South Ossetia," the statement for the media says.
In accordance with the resolution of the government of the Republic of South Ossetia dated August 31, 2020 No. 69 and the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated September 12, 2020 No. 2338-r, from September 15 this year. for citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, the previously introduced restrictions on crossing the South Ossetian-Russian state border are removed.
