South Ossetia is preparing to celebrate two public holidays - the Day of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Day of the State Flag of the Republic.
As reported to IA “Res” by Ministry of Culture of South Ossetia, the festive events will start on September 17 and end on September 20.
“On Thursday, the hour of state symbols “Flag and coat of arms are fanned with glory!” will start in the Republic. Also, on September 18, a solemn meeting of representatives of the public of South Ossetia will take place in the Cinema and Concert Hall, “Chermen” said the spokesman of the Culture Ministry.
The Ministry of Culture noted that on the Day of the State Flag - September 19, a video message of the President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov will take place. Also, state buildings and households will be decorated with the flags of the Republic.
“On the Republic Day, a military parade of the Tskhinval garrison will take place on the theater square of the capital. The festive events will end with fireworks,” the Ministry of Culture noted.
It should be noted that in South Ossetia, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Republic's formation, residents will have a "long weekend" from September 19 to 22. The weekend was announced on the basis of the decree of the head of state "On the approval of the calendar of holidays and memorable dates."
