First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Mikhail Babich will inspect the facilities of the Investment Program during his two-day visit to South Ossetia.
Mikhail Babich will arrive at the head of the Russian delegation in South Ossetia on Friday afternoon, upon arrival of Babich in Tskhinval, an inspection of the information and coordination center of the Department of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia will take place and a meeting with the President of the Republic will be held. After that, the Deputy Minister will visit the grand opening of a large facility built within the Investment Program - the hotel "Iryston".
On this day, it is planned to inspect the Kosta Khetagurov State Drama Theater, the fountain on the Theater Square and the memorial complex to the defenders of the Fatherland. After that Babich will take part in a working meeting on socio-economic cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia.
On Saturday morning, according to the program, the examination of the facilities of the Investment Program will be continued.
Mikhail Babich has been in charge of the socio-economic development of the North Caucasus since February of this year. Previously, these tasks were included in the range of tasks of the RF Ministry for North Caucasus Affairs. After the abolition of the department, its functions were transferred to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The investment Program for promoting socio-economic development of South Ossetia for 2020-2022 has included 52 events.
