The opening of a trade mission of South Ossetia in Moscow will give an additional impetus to relations between the two countries in the field of trade and economic cooperation, said the Acting Prime Minister Gennady Bekoev.
"The Russian Federation is the main strategic partner of South Ossetia, with which we have established long-term and strong cultural and humanitarian ties, and interstate trade is developing," Bekoev told reporters, commenting on the opening of a trade mission in Russia.
Recently, during a government meeting under the leadership of President Anatoly Bibilov, the establishment of the Trade Mission of the Republic of South Ossetia in Moscow was approved.
"The permanent trade office will become the entry point for products from South Ossetia not only to the capital of Russia, but also to its other regions. We have significant prospects for expanding trade cooperation in the field of import of mineral water, fruit products, and in the future woodworking products. Any entrepreneur interested in finding South Ossetian trade partners will be able to contact the trade mission and study the products on the spot," said Gennady Bekoev.
It should be reminded that a permanent trade mission of South Ossetia in Moscow is opening as part of the work to implement the provisions of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Government of the Russian Federation on the mutual establishment of trade missions.
