Dedication to doctors: a gala concert of Veronika Dzhioeva took place in Novosibirsk

A gala concert of one of the brightest stars of the modern world opera stage, People's Artist of South and North Ossetia, Honored Artist of Russia Veronika Dzhioeva took place on the stage of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater with a full house.

The gala concert of Veronica Dzhioeva is a tribute to all doctors and medical staff in Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk region, whose hard work saves hundreds of human lives every day, as do doctors around the world who find themselves at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus during a pandemic.

“Our concert is an expression of sincere gratitude to those who are today helping thousands of people in the fight against the disease, fulfilling their medical duty. We believe in the healing power of art, in the wonderful ability of music to fill the world with vivid emotions and to ennoble souls” said the world opera star before the concert.

In the program of the gala concert, held as part of the traditional festival of Veronika Dzhioeva, arias from Russian and foreign opera classics were accompanied by the theater's symphony orchestra conducted by Dmitry Yurovsky. Soloists of the NOVAT opera troupe and guest stars - Sergei Kuzmin, Sergei Stepanyan sang with Veronika Dzhioeva on the stage.

Veronika Dzhioeva resumed her concert activity after a spring break due to the pandemic in July, performing at the grandiose music festival in Armenia Musik -20. And in September was Veronica’s triumph at the Finnish Opera and Ballet Theater. The opera "Troubadour" with her participation was broadcast all over the world.

“I have resumed performances since the end of April, initially online. I performed in St. Petersburg, Gazprom selected several artists for online concerts. During the quarantine, many theaters of the world were broadcasting recorded operas; the German theater showed "Aida" with my participation, the New Opera - a gala concert, my festival, - said Veronica "Res". - I recorded several online interviews, in a word, there was no time to get bored even in quarantine. Unfortunately, many performances, concerts and festivals with my participation were canceled. The pandemic has hit the world of opera hard, and it will not recover soon. But opera and concert activities are gradually resumed.

According to her, the schedule of performances is scheduled until 2022; tickets for Verdi's Requiem in Prague for November are already sold out, then Italy and other countries.
