Medoev and Muradov discussed a Cooperation Agreement

Acting Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea - Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov discussed the practical implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, signed on 18 April 2019 in Yalta.

According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the meeting took place during Dmitry Medoev's working trip to the Russian Federation.

The clauses of the Cooperation Agreement provide for the creation of favorable conditions for the stable development of bilateral mutually beneficial relations on a long-term basis in various sectors of the economy, assistance in the implementation of joint investment projects, taking measures to create favorable conditions for the development and strengthening of cooperation in the field of tourism and sports, assistance in opening and the implementation of the activities of economic entities on the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia and the territory of the Republic of Crimea.

The interlocutors noted with great satisfaction the successful implementation of the project for the production of wine in South Ossetia with the participation of the Crimean investors, which became possible as a result of the Agreements reached at the International Economic Forum during the visit of the President of South Ossetia A.I. Bibilov to the Crimea.

Muradov has stressed that this event is a good example of the practical implementation of the documents signed in Yalta.

Dmitry Medoev and Georgy Muradov also discussed the main aspects of further development of bilateral cooperation, outlined priority plans and tasks, and exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work within the framework of the developed Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement for 2019-2022.
