Performers from South Ossetia Lyubov Dzhioeva and Maria Kodalaeva have become the3rd degree laureates of the 5th International "Bulæmærg» Prize. The representatives of the Republic received a diploma and a cash prize for their significant contribution to the development of musical and poetic art, as well as the popularization of the Ossetian literary language among the youth.
As notes by Lyubov Dzhioevain her interview with the “Res” news agency, the ceremony was held at the Cultural Center of the Russian Foreign Ministry with the participation of the South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov, Head of North Ossetia Sergei Menyailo, Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev and other honored guests.
"We were given an amazing surprise right on the stage. In fact, receiving such an award is a great responsibility, but this is an indicator that everything is not in vain. We continue to move forward, there is something to work on. I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers of the event, the head of the Board of Trustees of the Bulamarg Award, Znaur Gassiev," she said.
The author-performer Maria Kodalaeva has noted that it is a great honor for her to receive such a high award.
“We have been received very warmly. We were delighted with the positive comments that sounded in our address. We didn’t even dream ...”, - she shared.
Opera singer Amaga Gotti, the prize winners Maria Kodalaevam Lyuba Dzhioeva and other singers performed at the ceremony.
The International Literary Prize "Bulæmærg" was established in 2016 by the Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia and the leadership of the Stroytsentr company to popularize the Ossetian language in order to find and encourage the authors of literary works, writing in the Ossetian language, who can make a significant contribution to the Ossetian literature.
Over the years of its existence, many talented authors from both parts of Ossetia, as well as representatives of foreign Ossetian diasporas, have become its laureates. The award has become a unique platform for the possibility of self-realization for all who write in the Ossetian language.
In the fifth anniversary season, a nomination was included for authors writing in Russian.
