A presentation of a guide to South Ossetia took place in the conference hall of the Iryston Hotel in Tskhinval. During the event, the author of the guide, the trade representative of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation, Taimuraz Goginov, noted that "true hospitality is taking care of guests who are just going to visit your homeland, giving them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the information they need in the guest's native language."

According to him, the guidebook contains all the information about South Ossetia, how to get to the Republic, how to cross the border and much more.
“There is a section where you can see specific routes. There is a lot of fresh and up-to-date information. The guidebook tells in separate chapters about all regions of South Ossetia - Dzau district, Znaur district, Leningor district, the guide paid special attention to Tskhinval. We have a lot of sights and beauties that we sometimes don't even know about,” he said.
Taimuraz Goginov said that this guide also contains the information about outstanding personalities of Ossetia, about traditional dishes and features of the national feast. "Practical advice, contact information, all this and more can be found in the book."
“There was criticism that the book is too small, but there is a special format that is fertilized for the tourist,” he stressed.
During his speech, Gennady Bekoev has noted that tourism is one of the priority areas for the development of the Republic's economy.
“The Republic has a huge tourism potential. The country's leadership pays great attention to the development of tourism. Whenever possible, we are filling the infrastructure gaps that we have. First of all, the most problematic moments in this industry are that we have not regulated the legal framework, the quality of services provided ... We need to popularize tourism and, most importantly, work and develop the image of our Republic. The Prime Minister also spoke about the results of the meeting with the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova.
Minister of Economic Development of the Republic Dzambolat Tadtaev has noted that this guide is another step in the development of the tourism sector.
“If our young state has another guide to the Republic, it means that its tourist product creates a certain demand, they want to know and learn about South Ossetia,” Tadtaev said.
