The stay of the International Committee of the Red Cross in South Ossetia was extended for a year, the corresponding decision was made at the meeting of the government of the Republic on Wednesday.
The draft resolution on the extension of the work of the ICRC in the Republic was presented by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Tskhovrebov.
“According to available information, in 2022 the Red Cross spent 1 million 137 thousand Swiss francs, next year this amount will be increased to 1 million 300 thousand,” said the Deputy Minister.
The Cabinet adopted the decision unanimously.
At the meeting, it was also approved the draft law “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of South Ossetia “On the State Budget of South Ossetia for 2022”.
